This project, located on the campus of Virginia Tech, involved designing renovations for an existing outdoor plaza located between Squires Student Center and the Graduate School administrative offices. The previous plaza was completely demolished to accommodate the new design. The new space includes a small stage, outdoor seating under new trees, water fountain, lighting and porous paving to decrease storm water runoff. This project was the first on campus to utilize "faux Hokie Stone". The new plaza has become an extremely vibrant area in a short amount of time. A gift from the Class of 1959, the project was completed in time for their 50th reunion.
