aidan brown
leed ga, project manager, architectural designer
an alumna of virginia tech, aidan received her b. arch in the spring of 2023. during school, one her biggest commitments in college was managing a local restaurant. her work allowed her to develop a love for blacksburg and its people. this love and passion fueled her pursuit of architecture. after all, it is through architecture that art can successfully serve a community.
aidan is a lover of the arts. whether its ceramics, writing, painting, watercolor, sketching, dj’ing, or bartending, she finds joy in practicing and indulging in all forms of artistic expression. when she isn’t working, aidan especially loves ceramics and throwing on the wheel. while most forms of art have a degree of intention, throwing lends itself as a practice of improv and experimentation. although she might have a basic idea of what she wants to do- with basic forms and measurements planned out- it is impossible to truly plan how a piece will turn out. when throwing, she starts by understanding the clay on an existential level, feeling in the moment what that small ball of mud wants or could be. it becomes an exercise organized randomness. that experimentation and adaptability has become something aidan admires and seeks out in all her artistic work.
sky herstine
interior designer
a recent graduate, sky completed her bachelor of science in interior design from virginia tech in may of 2024. while she is originally from newport news, she has had the opportunity to live all over the state of virginia, and in landstuhl, germany prior to moving to blacksburg. she believes that living abroad helped fuel her love for architecture and broadened her perspective of the design world.
when she is not working, sky enjoys walks with her dog popsicle, baking, sketching, and tending to her houseplants.
